Private half-day or full-day tour in Guimarães

The tour begins in Porto, with pickup at the previously agreed location, and continues on towards Guimarães.

As the journey unfolds, Porto's urban setting gives way to a city deeply tied to the founding of Portuguese nationhood, where medieval heritage, historic architecture and the atmosphere of its old streets create a unique setting.

During the experience, you will visit some of Guimarães' most important historical landmarks, including the Castle of Guimarães, tied to the origins of national identity, and the Palace of the Dukes of Braganza, an imposing building that bears witness to centuries of history, power and culture.

There will also be time to wander through the historic centre, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, where you will find medieval squares, old churches, traditional façades, iron balconies and picturesque streets that invite observation and photography.

Between visits, there will be time to enjoy the surroundings, take photographs and soak up the city's calm rhythm.

On the full-day option, lunch is not pre-set, precisely to give you freedom of choice. You can pick the restaurant that suits you best, based on atmosphere, location, culinary style or budget. If you wish, we will be happy to suggest local options.

The main part of this tour is done by vehicle between Porto and Guimarães, with walking concentrated around the monument visits and the stroll through the historic centre.
